Food Drive

On October 4, 11, & 18 we will be having a Fall Food Drive. We will be collecting non-perishables with donations going to the St Thomas Elgin Foodbank (The Caring Cupboard). A needs sheet will be sent via email, but the foodbank is always looking for brown beans, pasta and pasta sauce, as they go in every hamper.

Euchre Night

Friday, October 23rd we are hosting another fun Community Euchre night. Contact sawuchurch@gmail.com if you are interested in attending. The evening begins at 6:30pm

Fall Spiritual Walk at Westminster Ponds

Join together after church on Sunday, October 25th for a spiritual walk around Westminster Ponds. Please pack a lunch as we will be having a bite to eat after church in the basement before we go. Rev. Sue will share readings and insight and invite us to do our own reflecting as we walk. This event is weather dependent.

Book Study

Tuesday November 3rd @ 7 pm we will be hosting our book study night. The book we will be discussing is “Ordinary Grace” by William Kent Krueger. Email sawuchurch@gmail.com if you are interested in participating.

Apple Crisps

What warms a cool day more than a delicious apple pie or apple crisp! Our making day is on Saturday October 17th. Anyone who can help would be welcomed starting at 9:00 AM There will be order sheets upstairs and down. Don't be disappointed and miss out! Cheeseballs Are Back!

A great appetizer for upcoming social and Christmas events! We are assembling the cheeseballs at the church on Saturday, November 7th at 9:00 am. Price will be $12 each. If you are interested the order sheets are in the narthex and on the kitchen counter downstairs. It’s Trivia and Silent Auction Time!

Our 12th Annual Trivia Night and Silent Auction is on November 21, 2026 at the Belmont Community Centre, beginning at 7 p.m. Teams consist of 6 to 8 people maximum. We will be looking for donations for our silent auction, contributions for our refreshment table and of course teams to compete.
